The contents of lower aliphatic halogen hydrocarbons in brewing liquor can be, apart from contamination of ground water by organic substances, influenced even by selection of the used disinfectant in the course of water treatment in the brewery. The article gives description and mutual comparison of progressive analytical methods using a principle of the statical and dynamical headspace analysis. The results obtained during routine control of export beers´ quality and beers nominated for granting Czech made quality mark confirm a reality that the contents of lower aliphatic halogen hydrocarbons in these products did not exceed a limit given by the ČSN standard 75 7111 for drinking water.
