The mutation of the strains of Brevibacterium sp. M-27 using N-methyl-N´-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine was studied with the aim to prepare new producers of L-lysine and further amino acids. The work results in a group of auxotroph mutant strains, the pigmented and auxotroph pigmented mutants. There were obtained the suspected producers of alanine, valine and glutamine acid there. Among the many-told dependent mutants, the strains with increased production on L-lysine exist.
